Spare duvet in blanket box was filthy, significant cobwebs room cold and breakfast small and microwaved. Drive into property dangerous and not suitable for anything other than Land Rover

Definitely a unique experience- hospitality from the hosts was special. The location was a bit hard to find. Breakfast timing from 8am caught me out on my first day, but the hosts were very accommodating on my 2nd day of stay.

The service we received from the minute we arrived to the minute we left was lovely, the couple that run it were very pleasant and polite nothing was too much trouble, Breakfast was really nice, lovely scenery. Really nice place. The driveway is a little uneven with some potholes

Such a beautiful place to stay. Great house, very clean, respectful owners, peaceful, calm, surrounded by amazing view and nature. It was very pleasant to stay here.

Brilliant place to stay. Full of charm and character, with a great breakfast and friendly welcoming hosts. Highly recommend!

I visit lots of B & Bs and hotels I don't like writing critical reviews, It's only if I think that others need warning that I write a negative review. Unfortunately I think that the Parsonage falls into that category. I've read the positive reviews waxing lyrical about the place and think that I must have stayed somewhere else. POSITIVE, it's a really impressive building with great views, the rooms seem clean. NEUTRAL - breakfast was well cooked but pretty average with quite small portion of the full English. The hosts were pleasant but didn’t interact particularly NEGATIVE Finding the place, it's virtually impossible to find with a satnav. In their email telling you that they only receive guests between 4pm and 8pm, the hosts could have given directions The driveway... a cart track, I was concerned about damaging my car The smell - the place smelt damp, my bedroom particularly so, I used a tin of lynx to try to get rid of the smell A total lack of fire evacuation instructions and of smoke alarms...there are at least three lettable rooms, this is a big house and is run as a business. My room had a small vestibule type thing with a fire extinguisher in it, no instructions and the light didn’t work The cable to one of the bedside lamps had been spliced together and allegedly PAT tested in 2005...a fire waiting to happen The Wifi didn't work No locks on room door, I don't usually have a problem but NO bolt on bedroom or bathroom door either I will not be returning

The hosts were charming, very hospitable. A lovely property in a beautiful location, overlooking Cheddar resevoir. The stone driveway probably doesn't improve the state of one's tyres! Breakfast was delicious, a variety of cereals and range of cooked food. One point to note, there are no locks on the bedroom doors. The rooms are serviced daily, although as we were there for just three nights, we were rather surprised. We had a great stay and enjoyed exploring the area. Cheddar is a walk of about 40 minutes from the property; well worth a visit. Would thoroughly recommend staying at the Parsonage.

We spent some time here, the building is wonderful, the Owners are Fabulous people and the service was second to none, the breakfast was ideal and set you up for the day to explore the surrounding areas. The room was clean, tidy and also a very comfortable bed with great outlooks, I can recommend this property and I will definitely be going again when I travel down that way due to the atmosphere and the overall suitability.
