르 클로 살뤼스(Le Clos Saluces)

We selected this property based on the numerous excellent reviews, and despite high expectations, we were completely delighted! This is a Bed & Breakfast (chambre d'hôtes) and the owners Benoît and Jacques lovingly restored an old, dilapidated home and turned it into a stunning, 19th century-looking, family townhome. The four-year renovation included rebuilding the property and creating a peaceful lush central courtyard. No details were spared, including rebuilt stone stairs, parquet floors, exposed wood beams, fireplaces, and modern amenities. We had a very large room overlooking the canopies of the trees of the courtyard, and we were amazed that despite being 400 meters to the Palace of the Popes, we heard absolutely no noise! Our bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was huge, especially for European standards. Jacques arranged dinner reservations for us at wonderful restaurants, and the meals were also highlights of our trip. My only recommendation would be to contact them earlier, as some of the restaurants were already fully booked. Our hosts were impeccable and our experience was a favorite during our trip to France. Such a lovely B&B. Friendly, welcoming, clean and comfortable. Jacques & Benoit are the perfect hosts. Attention to detail is key once you enter into this property. The decore is traditional French. The breakfast was yummy..... and their coffee is probably one of the best I've ever had! It was enjoyable meeting other guests, sharing travel journeys. Our bed was super cozy & comfortable. Bathroom was sparkling clean. The garden and outdoor seating areas are inviting. Highly recommended.

Le Clos Saluces is a true hidden gem. The exterior is unassuming but the rooms, gardens and buffet breakfast are magnificent. The hosts are knowledgeable of the area (sights, paths, restaurants, services) and are very willing to engage to ensure your experience is outstanding! You absolutely will love your stay here ❤️

An unique experience with unique hosts. Benoit et Jacques enhance the charm of the Clos with their capacity to make us welcome. Understanding their clients they advice us in how to better profit from the viewing of Avignon and its surroundings.

Our stay was fabulous in every respect. The house and garden are beautiful and centrally placed in the old town near all the main attractions, shops and restaurants. Our hosts were exceptionally thoughtful and kind with helpful recommendations and assistance. They provided a lovely breakfast with exquisite home made baking.

Recently returned from Le Clos Saluces and am already dreaming of reasons to go back. Benoit and Jacques are the perfect hosts. Rooms are beautiful. Garden was spacious and relaxing. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Every suggestion for a restaurant or tour was exceptional. I can't recommend this place enough. Centrally located and easy to walk to all of the sites. Take the suggestion of parking first and walking to the hotel instead of trying to drive down the narrow streets. The walk is a little tough on the cobblestones but worth the time to avoid the driving nearby.

This is a peaceful and lovely property in the center of Avignon. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Benoit and Jacques are meticulous hosts, ensuring that guests' needs are met, and that they know how to get to the various points of interest in and around Avignon. They offer a wonderful breakfast, which one can eat inside or in the beautiful patio/garden with fountain. It was heavenly. It's an easy walk to all the tourist sites in Avignon, but situated away from the traffic and other city noise. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Very nice property with superb hosts. We were there during extreme heat, and air conditioning was wonderful. We highly recommend.
