Unfortunately I am having to re-write this review. My review on Google Maps has been deleted. It was honest but obviously did not align with the reviews the property wanted. People want honest reviews, and subsequently properties should own the constructive criticism to improve. Deleting reviews is a sign that they're being deceitful. That said, after my stay; this is not unexpected. On first arrival, the property seemed great. Great location. Slightly difficult to enter (but easy once this is known). The rooms are a great size. The property gets its single star rating on two major flaws. 1. Noise There was so much noise coming from the ventilation shafts at night, that it was impossible to sleep. I stayed at a property on the busiest train line in Tokyo with a train passing every 30 seconds, but even in that difficult property the noise insulation at least allowed me to sleep. Not so in Sonder. 2. How the property dealt with the problem Firstly the property app is terrible. Communication is via an app with staff that feel like they're disconnected both in terms of location and also the fact they show no concern for issues at all. They dismissed the issue, offering solutions that were not really solutions. But to add insult to injury, they said they sent someone to review the noise and confirmed it was not there. This was not possible given the noise was only occurring between the hours of midnight and 7am. If the person that was checking was in the room with me.... the *weird* but just to ensure that they got the idea, I sent through videos that even the cheapest of hotels would have been shocked by. In the end, I had no choice but to leave, book elsewhere and demand a refund for the unstayed nights. ALthough this was done in the end, it was less pleasant and far harder than pulling teeth. Read my review on Sentral 1614. It's a complete contrast and shows what the complete reverse of this property is like.
