When we booked the reviews seemed very positive so we’re looking forward to our 2 night stay. We had also booked an evening meal with friends. The stay and the meal were a big mistake. No heating, (it’s December), no hot water at all during our stay. Looking back very reviews now it seems this was an issue in September! We were in “The Stable” room. On the positive side, it was clean, but that’s where the positives end. The mattress has seen better days, slopes to one side and very uncomfortable. Room cold, no hot water. Breakfast in a bag, very poor quality ingredients. Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the room. The meal was expensive and very disappointing. Greasy, slow service, sticky tables. We were assured the heating and hot water would be fixed when we spoke to the manager but it never happened. The manager was conveniently absent on check out, just the cleaner available. I really don’t understand the many positive comments and reviews. We would not recommend this establishment for accommodation or food.
