Just a few pals going for a beer. Wouldn't seem to be much to report. However the Arrow Mill Pub/Restaurant is worthy of much praise even for such a visit. The praise is for the venue itself, really attractive and welcoming atmosphere, wonderful building. Even more praise is for the staff, who I enjoyed observing. Elliott was welcoming diners and made them feel the most important people he'd ever seen, Jack behind the bar was banter and efficiency personified, and showed perfectly the "team" approach at this venue by being kind and supportive to a relatively new and young member of staff. It really is the small things that count, isn't it?

Sunday lunch with daughter and son in law. We were seated in the bar area as we booked very late. I was anticipating trouble but the table was fine - no issues. The restaurant was very busy and it looked as if they were a bit understaffed - we had VERY slow service but thtas not a problem when you have nothing planned. The food , as usual. was very good. Good choice of roasts for Sunday - the porchetta was very good indeed. We had the puddings charge deleted as the service had been so tardy so good response. I see from other reviews the service was an issue in many cases. I suggest they have waiters allocated to a set number of tables so you know who to look for when service is needed. Not as good as the Bell at Alderminster - same group, different management!

We visited Arrow Mill for my Husband’s Birthday and caught the fabulous Christmas Decorations before they came down. I’ve dined here before but wow, do they know how to do Christmas! Anyway, my Husband and I enjoyed a beautiful meal whilst sat next to an open fire (it was snowing outside too!). Couldn’t fault anything.

Standards have really dropped. We live locally and often visit. I feel the emphasis is now on a money making business. I recently visited for a works party ( all local District nurses NHS ). Service and food were very poor. We paid a supplement for steak (Christmas menu). Unfortunately we were unable to speak to any members of staff as they didn't once come over to ask if anything was ok. It took 3 attempts to ask for some mustard. I decided to visit the next week with my 2 boys. Boys had burgers which were fine. However, I ordered the Turkey It arrived with 1 carrot, 1 pigs in blanket, half a sprout and a pile of kale which had obviously been placed over the top to hide the fact I had no vegetables. Both the roast potatoes and pigs in blanket were not edible. They were hard as rocks. The following week i received a feedback form to which I filled in. I haven't received any feedback. I've recently made a comment on Facebook advising them to start responding to their negative feedback as it seems to be increasing.

3rd year running we have had our family Xmas meal for 10 here, but this will be the last. Very disappointed, service very poor, could not get sparkling water after asking 3 times. Crackers thrown on the table, which was not laid fully for everyone. Coats were left on chairs, food, when it finally arrived was adequate, certainly not of the standard previously received. Dessert took so long that people who had long journeys had to leave before it was ordered. All in all a very very expensive and unfortunate experience. Fortunately the company was brilliant!

A group of 5 friends went on a weekday evening. Table was booked for 7pm, waited a long time for service and then a long time for the food to come (4 of us had the beef salad). By the time we'd finished our meal (no starters) it was 9:15. No one came to ask how the meal was and no one came to offer drinks. We had planned to have a dessert and hot drink but as the service was so slow, we didn't want these at 10pm at night and we were so thirsty, we just opted for a cold drink. Venue is lovely but I find food & service hit & miss. Left feeling hungry, thirsty and penniless.
