탕테 아를레트

We stayed one night at Tante Arlette and got a warm welcome and a drink. We had booked a superior room, but were a bit disappointed that it had no external window. The cleaning was also not perfect and there were spots on the madrass. Otherwise the room was ok. We decided to eat at the hotel but were surprised when the food arrived before we had selected from the menu. Apparently what we would eat was decided for us. That said, it tasted great. After the dinner we ordered rom from a local distillery and got the whole bottle to serve us ourself the amount we wanted. Breakfast was also good!

It was a great week spent at Tante Arlette hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room nice and comfortable. We loved the restaurant, the food was was one of the top from the fortnight stay in Martinique, I definitely recommend, if you have a trip around the north of the island, for lunch (dinners are only for guests). Lovely stay, in general 😊.

We stayed here overnight on a brief trip to Grand Riviere. Centrally located, there is ample street parking within a few metres walk. Greeted on arrival with a friendly face and a refreshing rum punch drink, all the staff without exception during our stay were very friendly and cheerful. The rooms are simple but bright and welcoming and equipped with air conditioning. Plenty of hot water for the shower. They do provide dinner in the evening for guests but this does have to be booked in advance. Breakfast consists of yoghurt, bread and fresh fruit with a hot drink and juice which we found quite sufficient. The small town itself is interesting and very authentic, not at all geared to tourism. Local people are all very friendly and there is an attractive church to visit. There is a pleasant sea front good for strolling in the evening and a few hundred meters from the centre of town there is a nice beach with a tropical backdrop.

Nous avons rencontré un problème lors de notre séjour en Martinique, où nous devions dormir à Grand Rivière. Malheureusement, nous avons dû contacter le logement pour annuler notre réservation et demander un remboursement. On nous a d'abord assuré qu'il n'y avait pas de problème pour le remboursement. Cependant, deux heures plus tard, nous avons reçu un appel nous informant que finalement, il se pourrait que le remboursement ne soit pas possible et qu'il fallait rappeler pour parler à la responsable. Nous avons essayé de les rappeler plusieurs jours de suite, mais à chaque fois, la responsable n'était pas disponible et on nous promettait un retour d'appel. Nous attendons toujours de ses nouvelles. Il est frustrant de constater qu'ils ne prennent même pas la peine de nous informer que notre demande de remboursement n'est pas acceptée.

Un accueil très chaleureux, le personnel est vraiment sympathique et au petits soins. La chambre est petite mais très confortable.Quand au dîner nous nous sommes régalés.
