미누라 호텔 수르 메노르카 & 워터파크(Minura Sur Menorca & Waterpark)

We have all enjoyed our holiday at the Sur Menorca. Location just outside Punta Prima free shuttle bus every hour. Plus main bus stop to Mahon and a land train which does a loop from Punta Punta to Binibeca. Food very good, and plenty of choice. Friendly and polite staff. A good water park next to the hotel. Entertainment team work hard everyday. We would recommend this hotel and hope to return in the near future

What an amazing holiday…. I don’t write reviews though feel I have to for this hotel. Our family of 5 have had an amazing holiday at Minura sur Minorca hotel and water park. Our kids are 7, 11 & 12. The entertainment team were absolutely brilliant. They were so fun and so much going on that some days we didn’t make it to the waterpark. There’s kids entertainment for all ages all day and the entertainment team of 6 is excellent, also with a seperate show in the evenings. I’ve found previously when the entertainment is really good the food can be on a budget. Not at this hotel, I’m really picky too when it comes to food, though there was so much choice I came away not trying some of the daily dishes. The hotel felt very secure and this aloud us to relax more knowing the kids could do there activities and we weren’t worried about where they were. All the staff were amazing, really friendly. From check in to check out. We had a trip to the beach one day which was really nice. 1.1km away took us about 10 minutes to walk to, there was a regular free bus but it wasn’t far. We did take the bus to Mahon one day for the morning. It was nice to walk around the town, the bus taken about 20 mins and cost €1.60. The two bed suite we were in had everything we needed plus more, it had two bedrooms and ample space so we weren’t tripping over each other. We don’t go to the same hotel twice though for this one we’ll make an exception.

Loose wall tiles at the hotel, would not take any responsibility when one was broken and given a 160 Euro bill. Luckily it wasn't one of the kids that was involved. That said, the hotel was clean, food selection was good and waterpark fun but this marred my experience

This was our first time at this hotel and area, and our first time at a busy ‘peak’ period, we expected it to be fairly chaotic due to the volume of people that would be around. It was quite the opposite, despite being busy the hotel was clean, tidy and well managed with rooms being cleaned and towels changed every day. The restaurant was also very well managed by the team, and every effort was made to select a table where you wanted (outside of course!) food was served without many gaps consistently throughout the day, and the quality and choice was exceptional!! The paella was on another level - amazing, the chef cooking was obviously very proud of what he produced, and we always took the time to tell him how great it was!!! The outdoor facilities were great with loads of space for children to play and run around, enough room for several activities at once such as football and volleyball also quiet spaces for ping pong and a small quiet pool for smaller children, again everything was clean and gardens well kept. The area was lovely with small towns close by, which were all easily accessible with a free shuttle down to Punta Prima or a land train you could pay for to go slightly further afield. The water park next door was great fun and easily accessible. Good slides and a lazy river - something for all ages. The best part of the holiday for us was the Animacion Team, they were constantly on the go and involving all in the activities which were all day long, not something we usually participate in but we were encouraged by Javier and Sara and did not regret it!! They were varied and awesome fun. Javier in particular was an absolute legend, he is by far the best Animacion guy that we have ever participated with, funny, loud, involved and enthusiastic, he certainly made our holiday one to remember!! Sara was also fabulous and excellent with the children and adults throughout all the activities. All of the staff, whether behind the bar, cleaning, gardening, cooking or entertaining were amazing and such hard working - thanks to you all!!!

The hotel was really good, very clean and the staff very smiley and friendly! Must comment on the entertainment manager Javier he was brilliant! Such an asset to the hotel !! That said, all the staff were excellent, especially in the restaurants and bar , in and out of the kitchen too, they couldn’t do enough to help and helped with a gluten free diet gladly. People we noticed for praise are Samantha, Justina, Jessica, Jacob but all were fabulous !

HOTEL was great, but any shops or anything is at least a 15 minute walk away but there is a free bus that goes to the beach and the restaurants and then there’s a bus to the market and shops that cost €1.60 each. The staff were really nice. We got a free room upgrade as well, lunch and dinner was included and then they did snacks between 11 and 1 and 3 and 5. Hotdogs,burgers, tosties, chips, ice lollies. They did different things for each dinner and lunch. they had fresh pizza fresh meat. made a carvery one of the days and every night at least two different Pallas. Everything was in good condition as well like nothing was broken. There wasn’t no cracks near the pool. Everything was good upkeep and There was staff constantly cleaning. Waterpark was literally across the road like I would say 15 feet away. At the waterpark, had massive waterslides, medium waterslides, small waterslides, a big pirate boat and two splash pads and you can get drinks for free at the waterpark. There was two shops at the resort that sold most things. but if you want anything medical even paracetamol you will have to go to where the market and shop are because you can only get it from a pharmacy, as well as fags/bacci and vapes. The pool was never really that busy either which is Good, kids club is from 10 till one and then 3 till 4:30, age 4-12,. have different stuff on every day and you can find out what they do, they do lots of activities for adults as well is all on boards in the reception. Towels are £10 deposit. It’s loud until about 11pm. Dinner starts at 7 mini disco starts at 8 and finishes about 9/9.30 then entertainment starts. entertainment is different every night there were singers, magicians, quizzes ect. There’s apartments or hotel rooms. Waterpark opens from 10 till six, included in price of the holiday. People are friendly English, German French and Spanish people. Five all inclusive cocktails and then one kid one.

Just back from a week staying at this hotel with the family. Pros Food - excellent, a good variety with salads, pizzas, fresh fish and meat. Fresh bread, lovely fresh fruit. Loved the breakfasts especially. Decent pastries and omelettes. Drinks were decent - San Miguel on tap, and nice spirits. The local pink gin was delicious. Coffees from the bar were lovely. Pool - always clean and no problem getting a lounger. If the main pool was busy you could go to the Waterpark. Staff - friendly and helpful. The cleaners kept the hotel and rooms spotless. Cons Location - very quiet with little to do in the immediate area. Great for peace and quiet but a little too quiet for us. The shuttle bus was handy for the times we used it to visit Punta Prima. We waited for an hour to get the land train to Binibeca but all trains were full so ended up getting a taxi. It was €8 each way so worked out cheaper than the land train. Entertainment - there was a sound limiter in place which meant the sound kept cutting out when people were singing. I’ve stayed at hotels with much better entertainment. But the team do make a huge effort to entertain guests during the day. My niece enjoyed the mini disco. Rooms - the bathrooms need a makeover. Very little storage and the showers in standard rooms are tiny. Some rooms don’t have balconies and despite paying for one we were assigned a room without a balcony. No compensation offered. Beds were comfy though and nice to have a fridge. Rooms could do with a bit of modernisation. Family stayed on a different floor to us and most nights they were kept awake by rowdy guests. Thankfully our floor was quiet. Odour - there was a bad smell in the ground floor of the hotel most of the week. This affected the reception and gym mainly. This was a relaxing week in the sun at a nice hotel. We were fairly happy considering the deal we got. I probably would look at a different area if returning to Menorca.

Lovely hotel with use of the water park across the road. Very quiet location but you can walk into Punta Prima which has a few restaurants and bars. There is a free bus to take you to the beach if you prefer not to walk. Lots of kids in the hotel, probably because of the water park. We had a suite which was very clean, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, lounge and kitchen area.

Where do i start- After paying a lot for the holiday my family were all looking forward to this trip that was partially ruined by persistent selfish smokers, smoking right next to babies and young children. The hotel manager was made aware of this but did very little about it. This was constant throughout the holiday, smoking around the pool, in the middle of crowds at evening entertainment, basically everywhere apart from the food hall. Another incident with couples not respecting the quiet times in the hotel and think it’s ok to carry on until well after 1:30am, again hotel staff hiding behind a desk. The cleaners were outstanding, the room was cleaned every day without fail. It’s a shame as the food was ok at times, sometimes under cooked which meant leaving food or finding an alternative. Plenty of activities to get involved in for kids and adults. The evening entertainment was as expected. The water park water was as salty as the sea, not sure why this was. There was an incident on our 6th day where a tile had snapped right next to the babies pool to which the animation team and lifeguard did nothing about, it’s seemed to me that there was only me around the pool thought this was dangerous with kids running about constantly and a 20 inch drop into the hole, it’s safe to say I used some common sense and covered the hole, it took 20 minutes for someone to come look at it. It’s safe to say at this point we had enough and was ready for home.
