La habitación muy bonita. Un toque encantador las escaleras en caracol “lo que más le gustó a mi hijo” Bueno nos encantó todo. La atención del recepcionista Alvaro. Los camareros una atención estupenda. El desayuno genial. Las vistas y la piscina Preciosa. Que hemos estado muy a gusto para hacer el caminito del rey por la mañana siguiente que está Justo en frente el bus que te lleva a la entrada.

The hotel is inside a traditional building in the tiny village of El Chorro. The shuttle bus for the Caminito del Rej north entrance leaves directly outside the hotel. When booking the hotel, you should be aware that the maisonette rooms have very steep and narrow stairs inside the room. But even standard rooms are not without stairs which you may find uncomfortable the more so as there are no handrails. The staff at the reception were friendly and advised us on the shuttle service. The standard room we occupied was spacious with a large bed, although it only had small windows. The television was also quite small. The room's comfortable amenities included a minibar and a Nespresso machine, and the air conditioning functioned well. Breakfast is served from 8 am but if your shuttle leaves earlier you can order a simple breakfast package.

Booked for 1 night en route from Málaga to Córdoba, specifically to walk the Caminito del Rey. Basic duplex room had rather 'studenty' decor, but actually I found it sort of charming. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water, and I appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Unfortunately as I found out when two very loud people checked in to the room next door, there is ZERO soundproofing! Thankfully I had good ear plugs with me. But guests could perhaps be advised of this feature and asked to keep their voices to a reasonable level at night out of consideration for other guests. I didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on food or service, but have to say Alberto on the front desk went out of his way to deliver outstanding customer service. He managed to change my Caminito booking to an earlier time, found out train times for me when the hotel wifi went down, and was pleasant, cheerful and obliging throughout my stay. Same was true of the two members of bar staff I dealt with when ordering a glass of wine in the evening and a coffee in the morning. I also enjoyed the pool! Unheated, so was about 13ºC but I'm used to winter sea temps in UK so that was not a problem. I had it to myself both days. Great views. Location is ideal too: just across the road from the train station and the stop for buses to the starting point of the Caminito. Would stay again for that reason alone!

We had a room with a view. They look bigger on the pictures, than in reality. The stairs to the top floor is very steep and narrow. The breakfast is served and needs a bit longer than a buffet. Access to the Caminito del Rey is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

What makes this hotel special is the view. We had a two-bedroom suite on the second floor with a large, private patio and a gorgeous view. In May, it was not too hot to sit out and enjoy a drink on the patio. The accommodations were, however, just basic with no added amenities like shower gel, shampoo or conditioner. (There were small capsules of each, but not enough for two people.) The beds, however, were comfortable and our room was quiet. The room itself was a strange setup. Although we had a two-bedroom, it was an open concept type, where there was a gap in the walls near the ceiling which didn’t really present a problem for us. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We booked the tour of El Caminito del Rey through the hotel. It was an easy way to take the hike, and our tour guide was amazing. All in all, we had a very positive experience at this hotel.

Brilliant stay during our visit to Caminito Del Rey. Hotel is situated right next to the train station and just a 5/10 minute walk away from the South entrance. Room was spacious and clean, only downside was that the air was very dry due to the AC. Lovely pool area with sunbeds overlooking the hills. Outside restaurant area had a fantastic view and would definitely recommend eating there. We did for both nights of our stay and had a great mix of traditional food and drink. Great value for money for a stay during the off season.

Rooms and beds were lovely and comfortable. We stayed in the duplex rooms with had outstanding views. The service in the restaurant was shocking, a lot of people left while we were there as they didn’t serve them. A lot of people giving out to the staff over waiting time for food. The staff and the food is are lovely but the service is very bad.
