Hotel Freudenberg

The hotel staff and owners were fantastic and the rooms were spacious and clean. The food was excellent and the chef/ Owner, Robert and his wife work hard to make the hotel in our view a 4 star rated facility. We found the hotel to be much better than some of our USA hotels that we have stayed over the years. As for transportation from the train Bahn to the hotel and vice versa was provided by Robert and his wife. You do not get this kind of personal service in the USA. The area of Appenzell is beautiful with great hiking and at day's end a hotel to look forward too relax and dine. A big five to all at the Freudenberg!!! Thank you for the experience!

I had a very comfortable room with full bath, balcony with a view over the town (preferred to stay here rather than in the town as quieter but still close). The set dinner was outstanding as was the breakfast buffet which had beautifully arranged fruit of all kinds, yoghurt, cereals, eggs cooked to order, ham, cheese etc. Honestly cannot fault my stay. The lift came in handy as well after hiking in the mountains!

Très grande chambre et salle de bain dans le style montagnard et très propre. Petite attention sur l'oreiller à notre arrivée. Balcon avec fauteuil. Baignoire dans la salle de bain avec produits et grand nombre de serviettes. Petit déjeuné simple mais efficace avec fruits frais et produits de qualité. Le seul Hic le restaurant fermé le mercredi que nous aurions aimé tester car bonne critique.

Bell’albergo dominante tutta la cittadina di Appenzell. Cucina curata e ottima. Personale discreto e simpatico. Ampia camera con terrazza, salottino, grande bagno. Televisione con pochi programmi italiani… peccato nel 2023. Manca il mini bar. Pulizia buona.
