Europa Beach Hotel & Spa

We arrived at 3am in the morning and the man at reception was very welcoming. He couldn't have done enough for us. He even went to the trouble of putting out cold plates of salad and meat for us, which I thought was amazing. It's the finer details that count. Our room was spotlessly clean and perfect for us. The room service was done to perfection everyday. Amazing room service staff. They even went to the trouble of laying my daughter and I's pyjamas in a pretty picture on our beds. The food was incredible, food to suit everyone's taste buds. The chefs cooked pancakes and fried eggs in the morning, fish, meat and pasta dishes for lunch and dinner out in front everyday, which seemed to be to everyone's liking. The restaurant floor staff were attentive and gave a warm welcome. The restaurant is run smoothly and to perfection. The animation team were incredible. Everyday there was entertainment from yoga, aqua aerobics, darts, waterpolo, kids club, mini disco and from 9.30 to 23.00 everynight there was entertainment for the adults. The greenery around the whole complex was breath taking. There were 2 pools with a snack bar and drinks at one and a bar at the other which was open from 10.00 till 18.00, there was ice-cream cones everyday at the snack bar also. We could eat and drink as much as we wanted. Overall I can't say enough about Europa beach Hotel, from start to finish it was an amazing place to stay. Absolutely 5 star from point of view. The only good thing was internet connection which was decent for Greece. Here comes the bad parts of our stay... 1. We didn't get water at all in our room, but we paid for all inclusive, so if we wanted to drink water at night we had to go and buy it from the machine... 2. They don't clean rooms on sunday, so no new sheets, no new towels. 3. There is no shampoo at all, nothing 4. The pool was cold, no heating, and the "lifeguard" was rushing to close the pool before it's closing time at 18:00, like why? Why close it? 15-20 minutes Earlier? 5. This hotel didn't have it's own beach 6. I wanted to reserve ala carte restaurant for us at the reception and the lady said "go talk to a chef, it's not my job to reserve you a table" terrible... Like i had to go to dining room, find a random guy, ask him to reserve a table for us... and you can do it one time !!! 7. The food was baad, no seafood, no gyros, very oily and not healthy food... It was not fresh as well... you could see that some of the dishes were made from yesterdays leftovers... soups were disgusting, didn't have anything in it 8. No animation at All... 9. After cleaning the room, there was a disgusting chemichal smell, IDK what it's called in english, but it's a cheap bad chemical 10. It's far from the city... 30 minutes... Every activity in the hotel was not free. Spa prices were ridiculous 170€ for 1 person for a massage... 11. THERE WERE SAND IN EVERY BED... EVERY DAY, NEE SHEETS, WITH SAND, DISGUSTING, WE WERE SLEEPING IN THE SANDY SHEETS !!!!! 12. The final thing... after rain the whole hotel was veery Slippery, no drain system on the 3rd floor.... i slipped and really hurt my toe, which still after almost 30 days didn't fully recover... i still have pain... Also there are only old people in this hotel, so ... it was boring This hotel is not reccomended for anyone...

DRINKS!!! You won’t get drunk on the lager that’s for sure, I’ve had stronger shandy. Looks like lager smells like lager tastes like lager but there’s very little alcohol in it, I drank from 10am until 8pm ish and did not feel a thing so had to switch to cocktails (not my thing really), there were people mixing the lager with white wine which I didn’t spot until the last day. The resort is amazing for the money, it’s clean and peaceful the sound of the sea and the sea breeze are lovely. We arrived at 1am and Mike (not 100% sure of his name it was late and we were very tired) checked us in and even had some food waiting for us, a really nice touch and was needed after all the travelling, he was really friendly and helped us with our bags, one of the nicest check ins at a hotel we have had he really made us feel welcome. When we got to the room we had dressing gowns and slippers, a bottle of wine and a nice bowl of fresh fruit, we have stayed in places way more expensive than this and they didn’t have anything as nice as this. We was allocated room 154 which had a direct sea view and genuinely had a direct sea view, I loved relaxing on the bed with the balcony doors open just watching and listening to the sea. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful the cleaning crew are amazing and the food is outstanding for the money, there was always a wide selection of meats, Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb and sometimes Muscles or Squid. This is a bargain you won’t be able to beat (apart from the drinks). We have travelled around the world and for once we were both full at every mealtime which never ever happens, one of us usually struggles to find something worth eating and I have to say the deserts were lovely. There is a restaurant separate to the main building called Meltemi which your allowed one visit on your stay, the food again was excellent and the service from the two staff was outstanding, very relaxed and welcoming nothing was too much bother. This is a resort tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it’s peaceful! The nearest bus stop is half an hours walk uphill, if you’re coming to explore go elsewhere if you’re coming for a complete switch off this is the one. The bus is £2.40 to Heraklion or £35 to the airport in a taxi, aprox 25 mins. The mini market in the hotel is priced well and not much different to the bigger supermarkets in the area. The hotel is right on the seafront with a nice beach 10 seconds away. To get the bus you will need bus stop 16. If it wasn’t for the drinks in general this place would be a 10 out of 10, if you go on holiday to enjoy a beer or three and unwind, you will end up buying your own like I did, the nicest lager I could find was €1.40 and was 500ml and 5% abv. The gin I noticed was 30% that they served at the hotel bar so not full strength like we get in the Uk. A very nicely arranged location, close to the beach, friendly staff, good diversified food, as well as fruits and desserts, very tasty homemade pizza. The rooms are cleaned daily. It was a very successful vacation.

Had a Nice relaxed massage, feels like skilled people. Felt completely zen afterwards…..so time for a second appoin**ent lol. Can recomment this to anybody! Food is Nice and the rooms are clean (Europa Beach).

The Spa inside is really great - we went twice. It’s very clean and smells good. We used the Sauna too, which we had for ourselves. The massage was very good and relaxing. They offer you massages for a good price. We really enjoyed it.

It was an awesome stay! Not a single thing to complain about. We went as 4 families. There were nice pools, spacious well-equipped gym with a good a/c and the beach actually at the entrance to the hotel. Friendly staff and smiling guests...

It was a Perfect Service, nice people, many options of Food an a very nice spa. So good, i would come back any time. So friendly Personal. I feel very comftable, a very nice Holiday in greece. Sooo good

It is nice place, the spa is great! Nice lady’s. Only the local drinks, where not as good as we hoped. The foot was nice, too. The pools where clean. The rooms are clean and the people are very nice.
