Buen servicio, pero las habitaciones no están en buen estado. Debería ser renovado! Eso sí, tiene un lindo jardín.

We loved our stay at Hotel Genessis! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the pictures don’t do it justice. This hotel was one of the highlights of our time in Antigua. Staff was very friendly and helpful and available 24/7. The breakfast made to order each morning was absolutely delicious. The rooms were beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were soft and the air conditioner worked wonderfully. There is also rooftop access with amazing volcano views and the interior of the hotel is just breathtaking. The hotel is a little outside of the center of town at a dead end street, so it’s very quiet. The location is still convenient and you can easily get to the center of everything in about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute Uber. I would definitely stay here again and was only disappointed that our stay here wasn’t longer!

The hotel is located about 6 blocks from the main square. It is very attractive and in a quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, the room is tiny. If you share the room there is no place to put your suitcase. The bathroom is even smaller and there is absolutely no room to store your toiletries. The shower took a long time to heat and the resulting water was not much more than a trickle. The breakfast was minimal. On the plus side the staff was very helpful and there was no charge for laundry. The room was clean. I don’t know how this compares to other options but I would think twice before coming back here.

Our tour group selected this hotel- as usual, a good combination of a reasonable walk to the main square but set apart from the commotion. The rooms center around a courtyard with beautiful plantings and tables set up for conversation. There’s a spiral staircase leading up to the roof from the second floor. Good for volcano viewing! No elevators that I noticed. Coffee, hot water, cold water and lemon pound cake all available 24/7. The room was attractive but the only natural light was from the picture window in the sleeping area- not very private! No bedside lamp, which would have added some light. Bathroom needed more space, maybe a shelf, to store toiletries. Breakfast was good, with traditional local options and the usual eggs, meats and cheese. This is a good place to get laundry done- they charge by the pound, it’s very reasonable and it’s done the next day.
