렐레 데 플라토 & 스파 이바토 인터내셔널 에어포트(Relais des Plateaux & Spa– Ivato International Airport)

A convenient airport hotel. About 15 min from the airport. We arrived late and left very early! But after a long flight, the staff was friendly and the showers had plenty of pressure and hot water! They sent us on our way with a nice “to go” breakfast basket.

This is a good place to stay if you need to be near the airport. It is a large complex. As the name suggests French is spoken (and not much English). We were on the first floor and there was no lift. The room was spacious though we noted the dead mossie squashed on the bathroom mirror. At breakfast we found several plates already empty and not being replaced but the bread was fresh and good.

Excellent hotel and restaurant The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Water and kettles provided. Staff are excellent and well trained and the good is all delicious with plenty of choice. The swimming pool is well maintained. Would highlyrecommend

Stayed here for two separate nights. Very convenient for Antananarivo airport (15 minutes), which is especially important when your flight has been delayed. Room was clean and had everything you need, and was the only place we stayed at in Madagascar that had powdered milk sachets in the rooms for tea. We were very glad of this as we were just so tired after our 24 hour journey that we went straight to bed without dinner. But like all Brits we were desperate for tea! So unable to rate the evening meal in the restaurant, although the breakfast buffet was excellent. Whisked off on our tour in the morning so no time to look round, really. What we saw of the grounds was pleasant and tidy and staff were helpful and friendly. Minibar fridge and hairdryer were supplied but no mosquito nets. We visited in October, though, so mosquito nets were not needed.

We stayed there on three occasions over the holiday. We never had a mosquito net. While they say they spray the room, it was not quite enough. That’s where we got bitten. Another of our tour group had a room with a mosquito net, with mosquitos happily buzzing around inside it. Unlike other hotels, they had no coils for burning / plug in anti mossie devices. The food was good, the service very slow. Reception fairly chaotic and slow. Only some spoke English. On the other hand, when I asked them to print out my return boarding pass, it was quick and efficient. Maybe luck with who you got on reception. Many would not be happy to walk outside of the hotel. Our tour guide did not recommend it.

With an Air France flight arriving at midnight, and a Air Mada flight the next day at 18h, I chose this hotel 1) near the airport 2) with a pool for a relaxing day near the airport, figuring (correctly) that waking up late in the morning & getting to the airport in time for the flight to Tamatave, there would be no time for visiting the capital. Our experience with Air Mada was worse than expected: our flight was postponed until the following day. I immediately reserved for another night (unfortunately at no price reduction considering they did not have to pay Booking's commission). The receptionist then helped me work out a plan for the unexpected day in town: I needed to change money, get a sim card, wanted to visite Digue, the craft market, and the Queen's palace. Her solution was to get me a very good chauffeur-guide within half an hour at a fair rate. He knew where to go and how to get everywhere, in spite of the Antananarivo roads & population thereon, including carts, tuktuk, pousse-pousse, taxi-brousse, trucks, cars ... and of course millions of people on foot. We had waited a long time at the airport for the shuttle on arrival (we were the last to leave the airport) but returning was perfectly planned at 4:30 am for a 7am flight. Unfortunately the box breakfast was not even close to the standard of the delicious buffet at normal hours. The restaurant, btw, was one of the best of our trip through Madagascar.

Great bungalows near beach. Each bungalow has air conditioning and big bathrooms. AC is a must in *****dova as it gets too hot. There are 2 pools and 5 min walking to the beach - you can see it. Staff and food is great. We stayed fir 4 nites and ate dinner at hotel. Breakfast can be improved. It is too basic. Overall highly recommended

The hotel's gym is very limited. A gym down the street has all equipment needed for a good work out.

Very nice property and the staff is excellent! They were very helpful in arranging a couple of excursions, one to the Lemur Park, which we highly recommend. The restaurant consistently provided very good food with a wide variety of selections. The included breakfast buffet is quite good with plenty of choices. We took advantage of the spa. Very good services were provided at reasonable prices. The pool, and surrounding area, is well kept and very clean. After spending eight days at the property, we had a great time, got to see Madagascar and experience their wonderful culture. We highly recommend the Relais Des Plateaux in Antananarivo.
