The location is right on the city centre, and that is the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel itself is very old and desperately need an update. The room was not cleaned properly and the towels are dirty. The breakfast is horrible. Even the bread are not fresh. Staff do not speak English and they paid little attention to your needs. It is definitely not four star. I think they charge the high price because of the location.

Muskitto problem and poor sound isolation between rooms. Otherwise, nice location in the center of the cilty. Waking distance to shopping and eating places.

Front Desk staff arranged a great English speaking guide for us to tour Hippone & the Basilica of St Augustine.

Our recent stay at this hotel for 9000DA a night was a big disappoin**ent. Dirty sheets, an unclean bathroom with poor drainage, and a persistent smoke smell in the room made for an uncomfortable experience. The hallway had an unpleasant odor, and the lack of soundproofing meant zero privacy. Breakfast was subpar. For the price, this hotel is a terrible value and I wouldn't recommend it. Look elsewhere for a better stay.

Bed was harder than we like but bearable. Lack of comfort was made up for by the friendliness and helpfulness of staff . Simple but tasty breakfast. Great location on a bustling street with plenty of cafes. Easy walk to train station.

We spent two nights in a lovely, spacious room with a very comfortable, firm bed, a sofa, two large chairs and a nice bathroom. We had two windowed doors overlooking the main boulevard with its lively plaza. The windows limit the noise, but everything quiets down anyway by 9pm. The hotel is conveniently located for walking and exploring the old town and for driving to the ruins and basilica. The staff is very nice. The adequate breakfast is continental, with just hard-boiled eggs and cheese, breads and pastries. The main issue is that the wi-fi does not work, but we were able to use our phones as hot-spots.

Excellent stay! Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Historic total in great condition and conveniently located in the center of the city. Would highly recommend it

An issue arose on arrival as we only had Tunisian money and our credit cards were not accepted at A**s however the situation was resolved with the help of the hotel reception who were excellent. During our whole stay all staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the WIFI which was intermittent but again the staff were very helpful. The hotel is located centrally and is ideal to explore the main city area. It is also possible to comfortably walk to the Hippo ruins although taxis are very cheap. The hotel also has the advantage of its own restaurant which we found an advantage as most eateries in the main street are "hole in the wall" takewaways.
