호텔 루랄 카스티요 데 비아르(Hôtel Rural Castillo de Biar)

Very over-rated and overpriced. I'm not picky, but I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews. Yes, because it is in the middle of nowhere, you can "connect with nature" as a couple of reviewers said, but then you could just pitch a tent in the woods or sleep in the back of your car too. Definitely not even a 3 star hotel. The AC did not work at all (it ran and made a lot of noise, but did not cool, in spite of the manager saying it was working) which made for a hot night in August. The shower had mold, the room was tiny, sp****ly furnished, and primitive, breakfast was just toast, juice, coffee. No coffee maker, fridge, safe, or other room amenities you would expect at this price. Mattress old and soft. English is not spoken in spite of what website says. No one available to greet us on arrival in the afternoon, the new owner / manager is indifferent at best, she had our booking wrong (3 nights instead of 2), WiFi only works in the lobby - not in the rooms, industrial hand soap dispenser in the shower instead of shampoo or soap. The hotel was full during our stay, but we never saw any staff in the reception or dining areas. I would not stay again at any price.

Quirky converted building in a very rural area. Very clean. Hot water was an issue, as with most hotels in winter with the short days. Very friendly reception, even with the language barrier. I would say it was over-priced in comparison to what you get in the UK for the same price. But would still recommend, nothing really bad to say about the place. Served it’s purpose for us, bed and shower while touring.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to travel with our two dogs. Unfortunately they had to stay at home, but this IS the place for dog and horse-lovers. Situated in the country-side, very quiet and charming, we got a very friendly welcome by the owner, some barking by her dogs and of course some flies that are inevitable in the countryside. Prepare your picknick or your meal, there is a kitchen and a fridge, but this is just a hotel, not a restaurant or a bed-and-breakfast. We were just too charmed by the friedlyness of the owner and her mother, the beauty of the landscape, the quiet and the magic of the landscape. If ever we are in the area again we will DEFINITELY go back!

Ha sido un poco decepcionante. El estado de las instalaciones tiene mucho por mejorar. El trato del personal muy amable, pero la habitación nada confortable. El baño muy deteriorado y poco limpio (el váter perdía agua, el grifo del lavabo roto). Poca insonorización entre habitaciones, y respecto a la cama, usan mantas antiguas (hay que poner nórdicos para evitar los nidos de ácaros). El desayuno ha estado bién pero no repetiremos.

Lidt udenfor centrum, super hyggeligt i rolige omgivelser. Vi skulle blot overnatte på vejen hjem men det lod til vi var de eneste. 2 åbne pejse i opholdsområde og en fantastisk restaurant. Værelset var stort og hyggeligt, badeværelset ditto. Sengen den bedste jeg har prøvet længe, med god dyne og gode puder!

Estuvimos en el hotel del 30 de diciembre 2023 al 01 de enero 2024. Solo 2 mesas de desayuno para 15 habitaciones (gente en espera para desayunar y solo una camarera reponiendo y atendiendo). La cena de Nochevieja (87€) pésima. Marisco frito frio. Solo 2 camareros atendiendo a al menos 35 personas. Cordero hervido (se suponía que eran chuletas de cordero fritas). Los propios camareros decían que las quejas mejor que las colgáramos como opinión en internet para que las visualizaran otros posibles clientes. En fin .... no volveremos más!!! Una pena

Muy buena experiencia. Reservamos a última hora para hacer noche en un viaje y ha sido muy buena elección. Hotel pequeño y diferente, la habitación grande, aclimatada y cómoda, personal amable y desayuno inmejorable.

Celebramos ayer nuestra boda alli. Todo salió perfecto. La comida, la decoración, el ambiente...Dominique nos atendió de 10, y Carmen, y el resto de personal, nos hizo sentir como en casa. Mil gracias por todo.

Sitio espectacular, por el entorno y sus instalaciones. Trato pésimo a la llegada y durante la estancia. Parecía que molestábamos. Comida pésima. Como algo positivo , el trato por parte de una mujer que nos atendió durante el desayuno. El resto del personal, incluyendo la que creo que es la dueña para no volver nunca más !!!!
