The Lochinver Guest House was a great place to stay. I found it on-line, booked it for two nights, and there were no issues at all. Sinclair met me when I arrived, I was checked-in promptly, and he gave me some helpful tips on pubs and restaurants. The house is beautiful and well-kept. My room was clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was terrific. And the house is in a quiet and central Ayr neighbourhood. Lastly, the cookies in the room were delicious!

A delightfully presented B and B that lived up in all ways to the description we had found while researching Ayr. Very comfortable and quiet nights sleep followed by an excellent breakfast means we have no hesitation in recommending Lochinver.

Lochinver Guest House is becoming a regular business stop over for me. The Location is great and the rooms are spacious l, clean and comfortable. Sinclair is a great host and I like that they are eco minded in reducing waste and provide fresh milk. I would recommend the full Scottish Breakfast which is delish’.

From first entering the beautiful hallway right up until leaving after three nights the only thing we could find to criticise was the radio muzak at breakfast (and this wasn't intrusive). Attention to detail could not be faulted and everything was good quality. Very comfortable room, feather pillows supplied on request, plenty of super thick towels - and real coffee, not just sachets! The downstairs sitting room (with piano available for guests' use) looked lovely, but we didn't need to use it as we had comfy armchairs in our room. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, lots of choice, with good coffee, and pleasant staff. Short walks to the beach and town centre plus free parking make the location in this attractive, quiet, tree-lined, 19th century sandstone crescent very convenient. Lochinver was 100 times better than the hotel we stayed in last year and we're looking forward to returning next year.

Lochinver is a lovely guest house , Sinclair & staff are very friendly , welcoming and will help with any issues you may have , the beds are comfy with lovely clean fresh cotton bedding , the breakfast has plenty of choice from cereal to pastries , I can recommend the eggs Benedict ( my favourite ) , lochinver is ideally situated for the town center and the sea front these are only a few minutes walk away

Just spent two nights at the Lochinver. This was our second stay and was just as good as the first. We booked direct with Sinclair and were given a discount on the normal rates as promised when we first stayed. We stayed in the Cunningham which is situated at the front of the house. The Cunningham is a large en suite room with a four poster bed and seating area, it was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and smiling and obviously enjoy being at the Lochinver Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of different items. We will return and would not hesitate to recommend the Lochinver for a stay in Ayr. Thank you Sinclair and the team for second wonderful stay!

My partner and I had a wonderful one night stay in this beautiful guest house. Sinclair was the perfect host, we felt very welcome. Best sleep I've had in a while, the bed was so comfortable and room was lovely with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely although I wish I had eaten more (I blame the bartender last night!) Lovely wee place and will definitely recommend and return

Lochinver Guesthouse is a lovely accommodation in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood that is perfectly located for sightseeing in Ayr. Sinclair was very helpful in recommending places to see and places to eat. What more could you ask for? My room was on the top floor with en-suite. The in-room extras were lovely. Comfy bed and spacious room. Walking distance to town, beach and historic sights.

A great guesthouse in a great location. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was spotless and comfy and the breakfast was excellent. The location is good and it is only a short walk to a choice of restaurants and down to the seafront.
