빌라 모스카(Villa Mosca Charming House)

What a lovely place to stay. We arrived on Saturday evening which unfortunately meant that there was not a parking space to be found. However the very kind reception staff allowed us to park on the hotel forecourt (for the duration of our stay). Lovely room with a generous bedroom, bathroom, large bed and good air-con; also a small terrace with sun loungers that we did not use. Great terrace areas surrounding the hotel with a bar, super infinity pool, jacuzzi, plenty of seating and wonderful sunset. A short walk to the old town where you are spoilt for choice when choosing somewhere to eat; we had great food on the two nights we stayed. Breakfast at the hotel is ok; the selection is a little mean in that they limit what is put out at any one time which I guess is designed in the hope that you will not take too much, but actually it leaves you feeling you may not be leaving enough for other guests - they do top things up however. There is no hot food on offer although I did spot one person with an egg. Staff were lovely and also attentive and polite. Would love to stay again but I do not think I will be returning to Sardinia.

We were ten people aged 8 to 75 who stayed at Villa Mosca for four nights. The hotel is small and beautiful and the location is perfect and quiet. We loved everything about the hotel! Beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The pool was nice, the wiew amazing, everything was clean and all in all we loved every minute of our stay

This is one seriously special and aptly named Charming House. It’s a beautifully restored Villa just a few minutes walk from the old town part of Alghero. The location is one of the best in Alghero. The morning continental breakfast is quiet in a beautiful and very elegant dining room, the outside bar area is amazing to watch the sunset and overall, for us, a ten out of ten. We had a gorgeous dinner on their outdoor terrace area and we couldn’t compliment the brilliant staff more highly. A very social location and we loved the pool too. In 34 degrees it was very welcome to cool down.

We are just home from a 3 night stay. This hotel makes quite an impression; impeccable grounds, outstanding reception/managerial staff and extremely comfortable rooms. We stayed in a villa which was incredibly spacious; huge bed and bathroom with lots of thoughtful ‘extras’. The pool area (although not large) has amazing views and is perfect for relaxing. Having drinks on the terrace at sunset is an event (the place really fills up) and the cocktail ‘pod’ is manned by an excellent mixologist who made a top class espresso martini! If we could get a flight direct to Alghero, we would be back for another mini break in a flash. Superb

We could never have hoped for such an amazing place to stay, in a beautiful hotel in a gem of a town with wonderful staff. The sweet smells were heaven as soon you entered the gates, the pool was a little slice of heaven and the breakfast amazing (thank you Rose!) A treasured holiday and memories, thank you all! If you are looking for tranquility, this is absolutely perfect.

We really loved Mosca! Beautiful exterior and interiors, amazing location overlooking the sea and the old town, with nice pool area and bar at the evening. But above all we loved the personal hospitality from Rosa, Arianna, Marco and the staff team, you guys are great! Grazie!

Property was lovely and very traditional with a lovely pool and excellent gardens. There is no lift and we were on the top floor with a very steep staircase, and no offer to help with moving suitcases up or down, this was disappointing given the cost and the luxury the hotel was trying to purvey. Breakfast was included but would recommend getting there early as food is not replenished and choice is quite limited.

Loved our time here. Simply stunning view as the sun goes down and to cool off in the pool in the day. Only 9 rooms, ours was a loft room and was still big. Bar area is open to non residents 6.30 every evening except Mondays for drinks. Didn’t bother us at all as we would go out for dinner and join in afterwards anyway. Slightly removed from the old town but that meant we had parking on site. Massive thank you to Fredrico and his recommendations.
