Alert Bay Lodge

I was visiting with my three Czech Friends and my Balck Lab. I highly recommend this beautiful lodge not only because of its appearance but also because of its comfort and outstanding hospitality and service. Thank you, Scott and Nina, for the delicious breakfast and for making us feel like we were at home!

Very quiet and clean location Scott was welcoming and very accommodating 4 choices for a delicious breakfast Small bar fridge in the room Easy walk to the nearest grocery store Tip: Go to the Information Centre for maps and suggestions for what to do on the island Bring some food as the restaurants were not always open, perhaps because of lack of staff

The hosts and the place were completely welcoming, cozy and charming. Pablo and Paula made sure they attended to all the details to make sure my stay was top notch. They went out of their way to provide information that I needed for my business stay. The room was spotless and well appointed. The menu choices which was delicious and ample. I will definitely be coming back to stay with them at Alert Bay Lodge. Thank you Paula and Pablo.

Paula and Pablo were fantastic hosts. Very organized, genuine, and caring with excellent culinary and restaurant service skills. Truly lovely people. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The island itself was very charming and the people were friendly and welcoming.

We spent 2 days in the Alert Bay Lodge. Pablo and Paula were fantastic hosts! Very kind people with inspiring stories ! I would definitely go back. The eggs benny were also on point! The room was clean , the views are great , and it was very quiet and peaceful.

Love our two night stay at the Alert Bay Lodge, we stayed in room number 4 it had a patio attached to the room. The log cabin feel is great, staying in this converted church. The host Paula and Pablo, were very helpful and catered to all of our needs Breakfast was included and we booked one night dinner with them as well. One in our party is Gluten free and also Vegetarian but they catered to all our dietary restriction. They also store some salmon in their freezer for use that we got during our travels We would definitely stay here again with the Lodge and Paula and Pablo there.

This is a charming lodge with a lovely view from the great room across the Johnstone Straight to Vancouver Island. Our room was spotless, with its own bathroom and fridge. Scott and Nina were charming hosts, and very helpful with travel, tour and eating tips. The breakfasts were wonderful and made to order. We enjoyed sitting on the wraparound deck outside and in the great room with the fire going for coffee and drinks. The lodge is close to main town. We were able to keep busy for almost a week seeing Cormorant Island and the surrounding area. We were there in September, which is just when things were starting to quiet down. The people on the island are friendly, and there are a number of amenities. We brought a stash of food for lunches and snacking at Nina's recommendation. We recommend the lodge for a nice getaway in a very interesting corner of the west coast!
