Hotel Rural Sierra Tejeda

The Hotel is in a perfect location to explore the Andalusia area. It is an hour drive to Malaga airport, 1H30m to Granada and Alhambra or the Caminito del Rey. Also Alhama is within 40minutes drive and absolutely worth a visit. There are many nice hiking trails in the area, most of them in het hills/mountains. Alcaucin is a small village with just a few open restaurants in October, a small supermarket and that is about it. A quiet place with plenty of walking opportunities. The hotel is simple, but clean and tidy, very friendly host and staff. Breakfast is fine with daily specialty and each day fresh fruit. I really enjoyed the stay and the nice central location and can recommend the hotel.

Wonderful 9 night stay with bed and breakfast. We were upgraded to an apartment within the hotel which was brilliant as mini kitchen made our stay even more relaxing. Clean and well maintained Hotel. Very attentive manager/owner any issues addressed immediately. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with beautiful views all around. Hotel pool clean and so inviting. Thank you Mary and Lee

The title says it all. I will definitely visit again. We went for two nights but ended up staying for four. Beautiful sunsets from the terrace. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager. There’s a couple of bars and restaurants in town to visit. A must!

Recent 5 day stay in this lovely rural hotel in the cente of Alcaucin. Really good communication with the hotel. Mountain view rooms have stunning views across the countryside and sunsets. We were upgraded kindly to an apartement on 2nd floor which was very spacious with two bedrooms, large fridge freezer, microwave, hob, kettle, TV, aircon etc. Everything that could be needed. Sitting area and large outside terrace with those incredible views. No problems with street parking near hotel but understand have paid carpark available also. Will definately return soon! Right in the center of Alcaucín, this hotel allows you to enjoy a beautiful view over the hills at the bottom of La Maroma and the life of the village right outside of the door. Alfonso and Anna, with the help of their son Antonio, make you feel at home and their gentle care gives this place an extra touch. Sit on the balcony out of your room and enjoy a drink at sunset after a hike or a bike tour. A perfect place in Axarquía with a professional team taking care of you. I'll be back as soon as possible.
