팜그로브 레이크 리조트(Palmgrove Lake Resort)

I recently stayed at the Palmgrove hotel in Alappuzha, Kerala, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Firstly, the photos displayed on their website seemed heavily photoshopped, painting a far rosier picture than reality. This resort, touted as a 3-star accommodation, fell woefully short of even basic standards. Let me elaborate my experience at The Palmgroove Lake Resort, Alapuzzha: 1. The ***agement's attitude was shockingly rude, displaying a complete disregard for the guests' comfort and satisfaction. 2. Privacy was non-existent due to poorly designed curtains that left gaps, allowing unwanted intrusion into our room. 3. The mattresses were uncomfortably saggy, resulting in backaches the next morning. 4. The linens and towels provided were worn-out, torn, and rough to the touch. 5. Mosquitoes infested the room, with no provisions for insect repellent. 6. Despite complaints about a malfunctioning AC, assistance was unavailable after 9 pm, forcing us to contact the ***ager directly, who was not even on the premises. 7. The buffet breakfast was a dismal affair, offering stale and cold items with limited variety and freshness. Staying at the Palmgrove hotel was a regrettable experience. I strongly advise against it. Spending a little extra for a better-quality stay elsewhere in Alappuzha is undoubtedly worth it. This hotel's subpar services and facilities do not align with its star rating and should be avoided at all costs.

Nice peaceful location with picturesque views by a river with houseboats passing back and forth. Wouldn’t rate above 3 stars due to the overall setup, level of service and state of facilities provided in need of overall improvement - cleanliness, state of repair, Wi-Fi, electricity. Breakfast basic, evening meal cooked to order was tasty. Staff & ***ager Rinosh work hard to look after guests and organise transport/trips. When compared to other 3 & 4 star properties stayed at would suggest the ***agement need to significantly raise their game for what is being charged.

Unfortunately, our experience at this resort was far from satisfactory. Believe that the people who have given 4 or 5-star reviews for this property don't seem genuine; it appears as though they might be friends or relatives of the hotel owner. The Deluxe room we booked had lizards and there were mosquito as well. The AC seemed ineffective, possibly out of gas, and the bathrooms were subpar with a weak flush. The overall cleanliness was lacking, and we opted to skip breakfast. Given the issues, a 3 or 4-star rating might be justified with a lower tariff of Rs. Rs. 2,000 per night. The location didn't make up for the shortcomings. I'd advise exploring other options for a stay in Alleppey even if it is a bit far from this boating location.

Very nice location at the water, big park with bungalows facing water or garden. Loved everything about it especially the open bathroom. Personal very nice and helpful. Good breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel for your visit in Allepey.

Wow this resort amazed me and was above my expectations. You will love it if you want to be close to Nature. It is next to the backwaters and you can see houseboats sailing by. They can arrange for all extras like auto,cabs and chikara etc. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. The staff is smiling and will take care of you. The rooms and the resort is well maintained and looks new. Do carry odomos and you wil find lots of mosquitoes here.

This was a lovely and peaceful place to stop and relax. With canal views you can watch locals going about their business. Whilst also watching a myriad of boats gently pass by. This is a perfect place for couples and families

Amazing place to stay … excellent view of backwaters and house boats … you feel living with nature with varieties of trees , plants and birds . Had a great service from Renosh in taking care of our wonderful stay . Helped in booking any cabs or autos to our convenience. Must visit place

Amazing location on the river to watch the boats and the world go by, lots of wildlife to see. Easy to get into the city and to the beach. Lovely staff and food, the rooms was stunning and the outdoor shower a lovely touch- highly recommend.
