We do a lot of traveling domestically and internationally. We travel to Mexico on a regular basis to fly medical personal to El Fuerte w Liga International or Baja with Flying Samaritians. The hacienda is the our favorite home away from home in Mexico. Nancy, Jim, Jamie and Ramon and staff provide a consistent experience that defines customer service. Great facilities, ambience, food and service combine for a magical experience. If you are a pilot and want to provide a truly magical experience for your friends or loved ones, this is the place to go. Just got back from one of Jims Pilots Reunions - Great Time as always !!

We ended up with the Santa Lucia room which is also known as the honeymoon suite! Everyone was jealous of the multiple rooms, soaking tub and private fireplace outside our front door. Highly recommend for a special time away from home. Staff was wonderful and food at Santiagos was great.

Several times each year the host invites pilots to fly to Alamos for 5-6 days and be 100% accommodated from the time they land on the 5,000' hard surface runway to when they retire in their luxury suites after a day of enjoying this colonial town. Mexican hospitality to the highest level. The host Jim Swickard has built this 5 star resort over 25 years into an impressive yet comfortable and relaxing destination. Upon our first visit some years ago we were hooked and have returned several times. Most of the hotel employees have been with Jim for a couple of decades which gives the guests a feeling of being a part of their family. I've traveled the world for 30 years, stayed in palaces, hostels, and 5 star resorts. The Hacienda de los Santos has the right balance of all the amenities and personality wrapped into one venue. If you're a sun worshipper, a hiker, a shopper, a naturalist, a pool dipper, or someone simply needing a recharge, this is your ticket.

Our Happy Place! The Hacienda was the perfect place to celebrate our 48th Anniversary! We’ve been numerous times & always can’t wait to go back . It’s a place that stays in your mind and heart. The Swickard family have created not only a fabulous hotel but a feeling & ambience we’ve experienced nowhere else. Everywhere you look is beautiful Spanish architecture , award-winning gardens & an art collection worthy of a museum. We’re grateful for their outstanding staff who make you feel like part of the family and we do! Each room is beautifully appointed, luxurious & serene. We had delicious meals and enjoyed meeting other guests. The Chef is outstanding & the food presentations were art works. The precious Chapel offered a quiet place to “recharge our batteries “. We’re already thinking about our next trip .

There are no words to convey the magnificence of this hotel. It is so much more than a hotel. They staff here from waiters and gardeners to the spa staff and bartenders....the owners are always willing to do whatever is necessary to keep their guests happy. We have stayed in many five star hotels and nothing else comes close to the experience of staying at the Hacienda. The Swickards have created something truly special here and treat us like family. Don't even think of not spending time here.

What a stunningly beautiful and enchanting resort, hidden away in the historic town of Alamos, Mexico. Last week I had the privilege of discovering this magical place while on an executive retreat...far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, California. This unforgettable hotel had all the amenities of a 5 star resort. The incredible guest rooms transport you to another place in time with beautiful stone-work, statues and even a fireplace. The grounds are immaculately kept with staff constantly patrolling its expansive footprint. Don't forget to visit their Tequila bar with over 450 varieties, as well as the chance to book a deep tissue massage...which was heavenly! A beautiful historic church also sits on their grounds which was a treat to visit in-between one of my workshops. I hope to return soon with my family and friends. Do yourself a favor and stay at this special place, if you have the chance. Hacienda de los Santos is a treasure!

Our favorite place for two decades and now after our second trip with our four kids and their spouses it is their favorite. The attention to detail in every aspect of the Hacienda bears witness to the Swickard family’s dedication to create the perfect getaway.

21 years ago, we flew in our Cessna 172 to Alamos to visit the Hacienda de Los Santos. We arrived at the front door after 11pm and were warmly welcomed and taken to our room. We got up in the morning and the beauty of the Hacienda took our breath away! Jim Swickard, the owner flew my husband back to the Hermosillo Airport to get fuel in our plane and fly it into the great airport in Alamos. We have returned many times since then. The reason people comment on the kindness we receive from the staff is because we truly are treated like family! At times, I have been welcomed to go into the kitchen and make donuts for all the hard workers that make our stay so special. If you are a pilot, we highly recommend that you experience flying to the Hacienda de Los Santos and add that to one of your life’s greatest adventures! There is a commercial flight available from Tijuana to Ciudad Obregon which is another great option to getting there. We want to thank Jim and Nancy, Jamie and Ramon for making our stays so special.
