클리프던 스테이션 하우스 호텔(Clifden Station House Hotel)

We stayed for two nights in the two bedroom apartment We have stayed there several times before and as usual really enjoyed our stay The apartment is warm and comfy Well equipped kitchen also Large king bed and two singles Two bathrooms Really clean Nice brown bread, milk , butter and cereal in fridge on our arrival which was a nice touch Very friendly staff and super close to pubs and restaurants

Hotel very confortable and we'll located. Food in the restaurant is excellent, and the attention of the staff, specially Daren, to the guest makes the stay a special experience. The leisure centre is also very enjoyable. Hopefully, I'll be back soon

Stayed here for one week in the pet friendly apartments. Externally they are lovely they are lacking internally in lots of areas. Both bedrooms have French doors leading out onto a path that many people walk up and down by so was impossible to open them. No windows in bathrooms so apartment got very stuffy. The French door in one of the bedrooms was very badly stained. The plumbing is atrocious, the taps on the sink in the en-suite moved when you went to turn them on. The shower pressure also very poor. The tiles appear to have been put in with cement and there was cement stains on the tiles. The living/kitchen is adequate there is a dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer, however the washing machine is placed in such a way that you can’t open the second cutlery draws unless you open the washing machine door 😔. On the Saturday night a large group seemed to have rented the apartment above us, the noise/chatting of this large group continued all night long. Thankfully they were only there for 1 night. We are in the Carriage restaurant on Saturday night and unfortunately my husband was extremely sick after the meal. Cliften is a beautiful town and the station house is well placed for visiting all the wonderful sites. This is just a review of the apartment I can’t review the accommodation in the hotel. Perhaps it is a lot better. Unfortunately we won’t be returning

Clifden Station House Hotel is highly recommended for its location, comfort, cuisine, and overall spirit of generosity, its class, and style. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, and very well equipped, but the cuisine is stand-out excellent. Haute cuisine with an Irish inflection. The deep-fried oysters alone were worthy of a Michelin star, and all of the food was carefully cooked and presented, right to the perfectly cooked vegetable accompaniments and the french fries. Just great. Warmly recommended. And not least, keep a lookout for the great special deals including dinner and a bottle of nice wine (think Loire Sauvignon Blanc). The entire team at Clifden Station House Hotel are also just great - not least Darren, and Fiona.

Excellent location with restaurants, shops, bars, and gorgeous views close by. Breakfast buffet was good and the staff were friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fluffier than most places we have stayed. Please consider fluffier pillows?

What a gem this resort is. The owners , father and son were a delight to meet and get to know. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was beyond good. We loved swimming in the heated pool. The musicians in the restaurant, ( Guitarist) and lobby (piano) were really delightful and fun. We have never felt so welcomed and taken care of.

We recently stayed at the Clifden Station House and had a delightfully perfect stay. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. Lots of little extra amenities which were thoughtful and appreciated. Quiet, relaxing luxurious sleep on the most comfortable bed we encountered in Ireland. I have stayed at other hotels in Clifden as well as the larger area and the Station House was the best by far. We also ate across the street at the restaurant which I believe is owned by the same establishment which I would highly recommend.

We booked this hotel as we had a wedding in Cliften, we arrived at midday the girls on reception got us 2 rooms, the girls were lovely, one was from Co Donegal, can't remember her name, The rooms had tea and coffee making facilities and bottles of water left for guests, we had lunch in the bar all food was first class, and breakfast in the morning was beautiful and plenty of everything, all staff are very pleasant, we would definitely book this hotel again.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. Would definitely return. It was very conveniently located within easy walking distance of town centre.
