에보니 레지던시(Ebony Residency)

My wife first came to check out the room in November. The same one we saw on the website. When she came they showed her the same exact room as shown on the website. It was nice. Then they told us not to book online because it's better if we book at the hotel. They wanted to charge us 1500 inr more than the site, so we refused. My wife booked it online. Then when we came to check in, the room they gave us was a different room. Not the one shown in the photos online. It was a Terrible room. The tv did not work at all and the window shade would not close. So it was really bright in the room, sun side. The bathroom shower curtain looked so old, I wanted to puke. Not the one shown in the photo, it had glass doors. So we complained and asked for the room from the photos. So yea they changed our room. The we started to relax in the room, but then noticed there was no window shade on 1 of the windows as well. But atleast it was not on the sun side. Then we tried to lay on the bed. The sheets wernt really clean. And the bed wasn't really comfortable. The next morning we went for a shower. No hot water at all. We even let the water run for atleast 20 minutes. And still no hot water. They ensured us they had hot water after we asked, and they wernt sure what was wrong. And they didn't have another room available. The water was freezing cold. At night trying to sleep, there was so much noise, inside the building between 11pm and 4am. It was so hard to sleep. Right above us was so much noise. Only giving it 3 stars because the staff, not the front desk or the guy that tried to charge us more, but the room service staff was very nice and accommodating. With that being said, next trip to Ahmedabad. I will be looking for somewhere else to stay.. I understand it's not a Marriott. But please atleast have warm water so i could shower properly. Also when we checked in they scanned my passport, they kept pushing the scanner down and took the scan a few times. They flattened out my passport which is annoying now that it won't stay completely closed.

This is an amazing place to stay, me and my sister stayed here for 2 months whilst my dad was getting treated at Zydus which is round the corner from the residency. The best thing about this place is the freedom and space you have if you need to stay somewhere long term its ideal as you can cook and the location is also perfect. They have a great house keeping team too as well as laundry service which is reasonable. Theres also a supermarket right opposite the residency. Ubers and Olas are also easily reachable. The staff there and the team were great and made our staff comfortable as possible. Last but not the least my favourite part of the residency was the rooftop, It is a great spot to just chill and star gaze or even just get some fresh air during the day
