Resorts usually comprehend a larger property with -more or less- expansive landscapes and space for recreational facilities. This here is a very(!) tiny hotel complex (10 m wide x 80 m long [no kidding, you can measure it on Google!]) The beach area is correspondingly small (10 m wide x 20 m long). In that respect the description as a „resort“ is very misleading. Dinner and breakfast are very limited regarding the variety of dishes. For dinner there is a small menu (6 meat-, 1 fish-dishes) from which you can choose (see the photo). The menu doesn‘t change and it takes pretty long (up to more than 1 hour) to get the food. We decided after 3 days to have dinner in one of the many restaurants/ taverns in short distance. Breakfast has every morning the same -predefined- plate (s. photo). In addition you can choose one item from a list (e.g. eggs OR yoghurt, but not both!) Towards the middle of the week usually the owner shows up, talking/ shouting disturbingly loud to his employees. There was one cleaning woman for all rooms, doing really her best, but not being able to clean all rooms every day in the available time frame. Smoking is forbidden on the entire premise, but not advertised on the booking platforms. Drinks at the pool-/beach-bar can only be paid with card, no booking to the room. Approaching the waterline, the sand beach ends and the entry into the water is covered with (smaller and larger) stones. On the positive side: Rooms and the restaurant-/ bar-/ pool- (around 2 m x 7 m) area are very nicely designed. The employees are very friendly and helpful, wherever possible. Summarized: the whole concept may suit for a 1-3 day stay, but nor for a longer summer vacation.

the place is a dream. The pool area is extremely quiet. The food is amazing snd 100% organic. Very friendly staff and smilling,always ready to help you. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. We didn't use the A/C because there is a ceiling fan

I recently stayed at this stunning five-star hotel for a business trip, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The location is absolutely perfect, right by the sea, offering breathtaking views throughout the day. It’s ideal for combining work and relaxation – I was able to attend my meetings without any distractions, while also enjoying the peaceful and serene atmosphere the hotel provides.

We traveled all over Crete, but this particular location was truly magical. Agia Marina. The hotel was luxurious and newly renovated just this year. We definitely recommend it to everyone.

Friendly staff, great location by the sea! The room was clean , the staff at the restaurant and the reception was really friendly as well. The food was delicious. Next year we will come back!

We were excited to experience all that this hotel advertises . In particular the Greek dining experience and 5 star accommodation . Unfortunately we were very disappointed . Breakfasts were generally good . Evening meal was not at all a fine 5 star dining experience . Menu was limited and became very repetitive , often with only one main meal change each day . Resorted to dining out by the end of our week . No covered or indoor dining available which in October meant that some nights were almost too chilly to dine outdoors . No other options .Food soon became very cool Room was a good size and nicely furnished . Bed and bedding good . Large walk in shower . Balcony very small , no sun or much light , no privacy , no view . Beds were made , bins emptied , cups not washed , T. bags not replaced . Very limited hotel facilities , pool small but surrounded by dining area . So not a place to lounge around on a sun bed . Great quality sun beds on the beach though . Gym is one tiny room with only a few things in . So small it had to be booked . Never saw the spa !!!! Staff were polite but not overly attentive or welcoming . The evening waiter was very helpful and friendly though . The concept this hotel sells you is a great idea and sounds wonderful . Sadly this is not what we experienced .
