Lovely hotel, great staff big rooms stunning views Breakfast was great not a fan of the meals apart from the food we had steakhouse which was really nice. Requested an iron practically everyday kept getting the run around Apart from that was happy with everything else & enjoyed the holiday

This was a Beautiful hotel , rooms are spacious the staff are wonderful,Mohammed at the snack restaurant made the best pizza & focaccia… I wonderful chef..being vegan he really looked after us…I would recommend coming here…we will be back soon ⭐️

We are currently half way through a one week stay. Here is my honest opinion of the resort. Arrival and check is was quick and effortless. We arrived on a coach load so i shot in whilst the wife collected the bags. I wouldn’t of wanted to of been at the back of the line ! The staff where pleasant and gave us a quick run down of where everything was and then it was off to the room. The room is fine, very spacious - No issues here. The hotel is not nearly as big as people are making out, yes the rooms are spread out but all the amenities are centralised around the pool area. There is a distinct lack of toilets and dependant on where you sit you may have a short walk. On first sight the resort looks really neat and tidy, it isn’t. There are cracked tiles, rust, things hanging off etc. The day beds are all ripped and the cushions in need of a good wash. As many people have stated the beach is not great. There is a small sectioned off area for the hotel which is not very tidy at all. The rest of the beach is public and is not nice at all. It is littered with people trying to get you to stroke their camels and buy their tat. The sunsets are however spectacular but this is nothing to do with the hotel. I would say Blackpool beach is of a better quality, really. The drinks and bars are a real let down. It does not matter what you get at the pool, it all comes in a plastic cup and tastes awful. Don’t be expecting fancy cocktails, you won’t get one. The pool bar areas are filthy. The machines are rusty, chocked up with pieces of wood and are littered with wasps. People must be paying good money to get a drinks service because we have not been offered once, regardless of tipping. The hotel is dead with the bar staff mostly stood around doing little. You shouldn’t have to front load to get a drink. The food is adequate, not amazing and not awful. There is plenty to choose from at breakfast, lunch - not so much. They tend to have the same dishes day in and out with only the protein being different. The evening is much the same. The only a la carte we have tried is the Moroccan and I certainly would not go again. I had a lamb tajine and it was not great. The lamb was very ***** and a struggle to chew. The wife had chicken and it was drier than the soil that surrounds the plants. The desserts are quite nice on a positive note. One thing I can say is the staff are really pleasant in the restaurants. So, would I come back - No. for what we have paid it’s ok but I know that people pay a lot of money to come here. A palace it is defiantly not. I associate RIU Palace hotels with Rixos Premiums - this is no where near.

The resort was aesthetically nice upon arrival after being there for a day started to see problems the food had flies on during lunch the temperature of the food was cold then the new batch would be mixed into that when coming back after 10 days I was terribly sick with food poisoning an a lot of people have reported the same via TikTok! , our patio door was broken asking someone to come out no one did, the safe didn’t work either, a day being here had ants all in my room in the living space an bathroom yet reported no one came out 3/4 days later finally moved us into a different room with no help moving suitcases up 3 flights of stairs to a room that was put into the shade from the sun, the beds were changed once in 10 days of being there even asking for them to be changed an leaving the green sign. On the door, the staff on the 24 hour bar were rude an sexist, it says ‘premium drinks’ but the ignanoff was poured into Smirnoff bottles an definitely didn’t taste like Smirnoff an this was confirmed by staff here, the entertainment in 10 days ended up being repetitive an boring, upon going to the beach you are hassled by lucky lucky men an women which you shouldn’t expect when advertising as a ‘private’ beach it smelt like urine an manure which didn’t fancy sitting there sun bathing for the whole day smelling that, the best thing was seeing the cats an feeding them. If your looking to book here do more research via TikTok an not on TUIs website as when it comes to bringing issues up they really don’t care.

Hi everyone Here is my honest review after staying for a week 30/11 to 6/12 2023 and I stayed in room 2209 with the wife. We also traveled with friends who we holiday with every year and I’m sure they will write where own review. First impression is the hotel is massive probably one of the biggest iv ever stayed in and soon realised that big isn’t always better. We had private transfer so arrived while reception wasn’t really bizzy. After checking in we where given stickers to place on our case and sent on our way with no help or direction and cases would be delivered to our room. Not having a clue where our room was we just say about and waited for someone to take them so we could follow. Rooms are very clean and standard for a Riu palace hotel except no mini bar only cans of pop in the fridge (not palace standard) and a big let down. First evening meal and wish I hadn’t bothered everything was cold. Granted it was 9.30pm and restaurants finished at 10pm but what was left available was not worth eating. Keeping food warn and restocked while open should be standard in any hotel. Our first morning and breakfast, unless you want pastries with donuts and waffles or a fresh omelette, there is nothing else really to eat. Coffee is served out of one small machine with queues of waiters and is freezing. Must mention the bacon as this must have been the chef’s specialty and taken hours to prepare as there is no way possible anyone could have produced something so bad in just one morning. Unfortunately nothing changed our entire week so omelette it was every day. Dinner was better but repetitive with steak, chicken and fish but being in a different restaurant it was hot most time’s Dinner was nothing special you could find something but couldn’t guarantee it was hot or even warm. Pools where freezing and lay out doesn’t make sense to me. You have seven pools all cramped together but hardly and sun beds? We didn’t have a problem as time of year didn’t have a option had to get what was left. Entertainment wasn’t the best in fact would go as far as saying it was rubbish and probably the worst in any Riu hotel iv ever stayed at. It’s easy walking round talking to guests and singing happy birthday but staying in a Riu palace would expect something special not this rubbish Iv stayed in Rui hotels in Morocco Agadir, and Caribbean and never once found myself saying I would never return but I’m afraid this is a first. Love Morocco but will stick to my usual Riu hotel in Agadir won’t mention it but there is no children there.

Pros Beautiful gardens and setting. Bar areas are lovely. Rooms large, beds comfy. House keeping good. Food in buffets is okay. Best are the fish and tagines. Pools are lovely. Throughout the hotel there are a variety of areas that meet the needs of different clients. For example, main bar is away from the entertainment area Spa good and very reasonable. Chic atmosphere in which to relax. Cons General upkeep of pool areas is poor. Tables not cleaned, spilt drinks not swabbed down before the next day, sticky floors attracting ants. Cigarette ends. Glasses, plates and rubbish left around. I reported an issue via the app and it was not resolved. E.g. Glasses and a soggy towel were not tidied after 4 days, despite staff walking past this area frequently. Food and service in the speciality restaurants are poor. No pool service at all. We were here for 10 days and were not asked once if we would like anything. Favourite guests did receive some minimal service. The animation team can be annoying, coming to the adult only pool and using grass to tickle people sleeping to ask if they wanted to join in, or running around shouting wake up and laughing. We only had fabric napkins on one evening. The usual was a poor quality serviette.

2nd time visiting, we came here last year and this resort is very ideal for us with a young child. The kids club is great, big shout out to Safa & Syen who took great care of my daughter. She loved going to kids club. We were slightly disappointed that the mini disco has now changed from being on stage in the evening to being by the pool at 5pm... my daughter was a bit disappointed due to this We received great service from Zoubair at the restaurant, he served us the year before and is very attentive. Service from others was patchy, we would get a drink with food but rarely get a 2nd drink or a top up. The entertainment team were great and are a testament to the hotel, I didnt get all the names but MoMo in particular is a great character. The entertainment staff really engage with you and I felt like they all interacted with us regularly. We were a little bit disappointed with our room, we were put in block 4 which felt a million miles away from the pool and the areas of interest. With a young child, it made it challenging. My step count was massive on the holiday, so I cant say I relaxed!! The beds are also really firm, I like a firm mattress as I sleep on my front, but even the mattresses were too firm for me. I would regularly wake up around 4/5am and struggle to get back to sleep. The coffee is poor on the resort. They have some quality barista machines but seem to struggle to make a good cup. Could be the beans or training issue. But the best cup of coffee is from the bar near the lobby Wifi is quite patchy and we couldnt get it in some areas of the hotel or in our room Food was good and we never really struggled to find something to eat. The standard went up on "feedback night", I am assuming to push for better reviews. But I would implore the hotel to keep this standard up all the time. My daughter loved the chocolate fountain on that night and wanted it to be out more... The beef wellington that evening was top quality also. Overall though our stay was good, this hotel provides something for everyone and can be a real ideal spot for young famililes looking for good weather in April. I would personally come back again as the options in April are very limited and it is hard to find good resorts with a less than 4 hour flight from UK. I just hope the hotel improves on some of the suggetions as it really is a beautiful resort
