The evening we checked in, we were greeted by the most helpful, courteous staffer. The next morning, we encountered the angriest, most hateful staffer we’ve ever seen. She was still finishing set-up for breakfast wearing headphones and, when I reached into a box under the counter for Splenda, she yelled at me saying “get out of there! You’re not allowed to do that! You can just wait until I finish!” By the way, this 10 minutes after breakfast was supposed to be served. I tried to explain I was just trying to help out but she continued to berate me and hadn’t removed her headphones. I was getting upset and my husband said “come on, let’s just leave”. Then she screamed at us and told us to get out. Husband and I told her we were calling management to complain and she replied “wait ‘til you see the charges I add to your bill”. I went to set my coffee on the counter to leave and accidentally spilled it because I was shaking so badly. She then said she was calling the police. We asked her to please do so and she continued yelling for us to leave and made no effort to call police, so we left. We made a complaint with corporate customer care whose only response was an email from hotel management saying his employee was filing criminal charges against us and that he had added $50 to our bill for having to clean up my coffee spill. What a horrible experience with a so called “hospitality” business.
