They charge extra at check out, staff is confrontational about the extra charges. They do not honor rates that were booked in advance.

I love the resort. Only complaint was the bathroom exhaust fan was not working, which made showers exrta moist

Nice first experience staying at the resort. Room was beautiful and great experience with food and drinks at Jacks Tap Room onsite.

Nice place wish the pool and hot tub were open later especially the adults only hot tubs.

Off season at this property, so take that into consideration. I have stayed here many times, but this was on New Year’s Day. It is not conveniently located. I arrived after a nine hour drive. Asked for a late checkout due to having a spa appoin**ent at the property at noon. Staff said noon is fine. I asked for 2. even though the hotel was at very low capacity, they said no. Went to my room, unpacked and put on pajamas. When I washed my hands in the bathroom, noticed the pipe under the sink was dislodged and water started pouring everywhere. Cleaned it up, got dressed, packed everything, and went downstairs to get a new room and explain what happened. Front desk was quick to give me a new room, but didn’t make any attempt to apologize for my inconvenience. First room was much nicer. This room smelled terrible and was loud. Acquiring food was tougher during the off-season as well. Had I known that, I would have stayed closer to town. Awoken every morning at 7 with staff yelling in the hall. Was pressured to leave before my “late” checkout. My spa experience was… icy. From check-in, where the front desk staff barely made eye contact, to the cold room, cold bed, and uncomfortable spa trea**ent (my masseusse was nice, but very rough and leaned over and accidentally put a body part in my mouth… got a wrap trea**ent but the room was so cold that the hot, wet towels quickly became cold, wet towels.) Very stressful trip. I used to love this place.

Heat did not work in our room. Was snowing outside and VERY COLD. But! Staff was amazing and did everything they could to make it right.

Nice hotel with a ton of onsite activities. The rooms could use some attention. The floating nightstands in our room were practically hanging by a thread and ready to fall off. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable - the mattress felt 20 years with dips of past sleepers forever molded into it. We just expected the room to be in better condition with this supposedly being the nicest hotel in Traverse. The pool area was nice, especially if you have kiddos. However, the hot tub was lukewarm and quite a let down to someone who was looking forward to soaking. All in all, I’d give it a 7/10

We recognize we were on site Chris**as eve, day and day after BUT the staffing and stores open was minimal and generally untrained! We have been on site a number of years during this time period and in our opinion, it has become less than the deluxe resort of the past. The Chris**as Day buffet was top drawer as in the past !

What a lovely chance for my family to stay here during what is apparently the off-season, at reasonable rates. The pool is great, and has some decent quick food if you don't feel like dressing up for a restaurant after swimming. They also have a microwave there, which is something that our king room lacked. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and the property outside and inside was decorated nicely. Our Tower room had a magnificent view of the sunset! My kids loved the large bathroom and shower :-)
