For many , many years our favorite hotel for a perfect holday . This year we were surprises on our 35 wedding anniversary ! The Spa and wellness facilities are great , but the hotel has many other facilities to make your stay unique . Till next year !..

Top hotel, we love it and go as often as we can. This year cigarette smoke ruined my wellness experience. My clothes even began to smell of smoke and my bedroom. The smoke travels up from the pool area which is full of people smoking in the sunshine. They should be away from the hotel and sadly the smoke even goes into spa area itself . Totally destroyed wellness vibe.

We were a group of 4 adult family members and we had an excellent time at the Posthotel. The staff were warm and welcoming and. nothing was too much trouble. The food is excellent and there are lots of menu choices for people on vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. The waterworld and sauna domains are well planned and extremely clean. There is reasonably good ski-ing close by that is within walking distance. The hotel offers a reduced rate for a daily ski-pass and we bought our passes from the hotel. Unfortunately, we did not realise that there was a reduction for a 3 day pass at the ski centre so it would be better to buy a multiple day ski-pass at the ski-centre.

It was a delight to stay at Posthotel, with excellent food, fantastic spa facilities and super friendly staff. Abundance in choice of activities organized by the hotel. All of this contributed to our fantastic week in Achenkirch Posthotel.

As a whole, the experience was okay, but really not a 5-star service. The price-quality realtionship is not there. We had way better experiences in 4-star hotels... Details: -The staff at the reception is not very efficient (issues with the Achensee Guest Card, long check-in process) + no ski shuttle? the hotel has a shuttle-bus, but they do not vehicle their guests to the ski station - it's 5 min drive... -Pool & Spa: the pools are not hot enough for winter, the best jaccuzzi is "textil-free" only, that's sad ! the jaccuzzi inside is old and cold. The classic zone (with textil) is too old compared to textil-free... -Massage: it was great, but it's not warm enough in the room + the music is not calm + the light was full on, you cannot really relax. -Bar: the bartenders are not really friendly. One night we asked for a homemade lemonade - we were told "okay but not tomorrow because we will be too busy"... -Restaurant: the food was good, only the salad bar at night is a little sad - nothing really seasoned, only raw veggies... The service one night was totally off (we waited 40min for the main course) - no real excuses from the kitchen, a waiter just came with Schnaps as an apology, but was really aggressive. -Room: the office table in the room does not fit with the "mountain mood", the bathroom is a little "altmodisch", the shower tap is broken...

The best place ever if you need a break from everyday life: Great location, scenary, hiking options…in a hotel where there’s been thought of every detail. The wellness area is amazing, the best breakfast ever, super friendly staff, great atmosphere in the bar… 4 nights was too short!
