Our 2 night stay was fantastic. The great home is uniquely modern with large rooms and bathrooms with excellent amenities. The area is beautiful with wonderful views from our room. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast had everything. We ordered the evening seafood platter and it was enough for two and delicious. The town is cute and the Indian restaurant was one of the best we have eaten at. The hosts were so welcoming. This is a 10 out of 10, Absolutely a 5 star.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lys-Na-Greyne for my wedding, it was the perfect place to get ready for the day. We booked out the full B&B - the building and gardens are just beautiful. Every room is spacious and maintained to an impeccable standard. The 'honeymoon' suite had everything we could ask for - large room; stunning bathroom with a large roll top bath, his and her sinks and large shower and a walk in wardrobe to store my dress - it was perfect! Joyce and Garry are truly fantastic hosts, who are passionate about Lys-Na-Greyne; local food; the countryside and providing a brilliant service. They are genuine, warm and welcoming hosts from the second you meet them. And the the food was absolutely delicious! The breakfast has a number of options to choose from, sourced from the local area. It outperformed 5 star hotels that we have visited! Joyce and Garry also provided a buffet meal for us one evening, which was also fantastic, and was completed last minute, which was even more impressive! This was based on platters that are offered and we would highly recommend adding this on as part of the stay. Furthermore, each afternoon there was a freshly baked cake available as well - just brilliant. As much as we want to keep Lys-Na-Greyne a secret from travellers, so we can book again in the future, we won't do that and would definitely recommend this wonderful B&B to anyone looking to stay in Aboyne, or surrounding areas. Having this as our base for our wedding made the few days in the run up absolutely perfect and we'll forever be grateful to Joyce and Garry for the memories they helped create. We can't thank them enough!

Spent 3 weeks traveling through Scotland this fall and staying at many B&Bs. Our stay at Lys-Na_Greyne was one of the best. Beautiful home. Fantastic breakfast. I really liked the afternoon tea and the huge sitting area looking out onto pastures and hill. Lots of great walking in the area to a nearby town and along the river. The host was considerate enough to pre-book, without our asking, a reservation at a nearby restaurant since we got in kind of late. Would definitely stay here again.

This beautiful bed & breakfast was heaven on earth. Joyce greeted us with such grace and warmth, offering tea and cake as we settled in. Throughout our 2 night stay, both Joyce and Garry were very helpful guides to the area's sights. They were also quickly attentive to any need or question. The breakfasts were marvelous, from the unbelievably fresh fruit, to Garry's homemade jams, to the full menu of delights. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. It was a fabulous touch to have a selection of drinks available in the evening as we unwound from the day. Lys-Na-Greyne was the highlight of the many places we stayed during our 2 weeks. It was a perfect stop on our way back to Edinburgh. We had an energetic schedule and the warm hospitality, along with the beauty of the area and relaxing pace were just what we needed!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lys na Greine. Everything was perfect. The house has been beautifully restored and is very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and we also had a delicious evening platter. It is within easy walking distance of the centre of Aboyne.

Joyce and Gary are great hosts and made me fell very welcome. The B&B is spotlessly clean, food is amazing and it was a real joy to stay here. Tips for other travellers All I can say is SUPERB! I doubt you will find better anywhere.Sample it for yourself, you'll love it.
