We had a lovely lunch outside seating area, delicious calves liver and bang for the buck beers and lovely staffs enjoyed our lunch here very much. You can choose if you want to have table service not. Drinks and food is reasonable for the price.

Very basic hotel, breakfast very average, issues with hot water in the showers, weak coffee at breakfast and slow service. Don’t stay if you want sleep! Very loud band’s play on a Friday and Saturday night and you aren’t told about this until you check in so best to check before you book! Plus you can hear the pub downstairs! Great location though and Abergavenny is amazing

We booked a room as we were going to see Wales vs Scotland at the principality stadium and Cardiff was proving difficult. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, you are in Cardiff central within 40 mins or Newport even less. Staff are very friendly. Our family room was spacious and clean. When checking in the member of staff asked if we would like a table in the restaurant for after the rugby. The food was exceptional and good value for money. The bar adjoining also had live music but this did not ruin the restaurant experience. They had a lot of choice for drinks in the bar and restaurant. Music stopped promptly around 11ish so we still managed a good night sleep. Beds were comfy and tea/coffee/water/bathroom amenities were good. We enjoyed a very good breakfast in the morning and checkout was 11am which gave us time for a quick walk around the town before leaving. If you are looking for a decent little pub/restaurant/hotel in Abergavenny then I highly recommend this place.

Hotel very central in Abergavenny! Lively hotel restaurant and attached bar area. Single room was very clean super shower and clean comfortable bed. If you want to get to sleep before 11.00 on Saturday night there will be noise from bar (singer performing) Wi-Fi was good in room and tea/coffee making facilities! Just two negatives Advertised parking the hotel has no actual carpark and is in a pedestrian area on Saturday! I booked in at reception which is actually the restaurant so quite busy All in all an excellent two nights for the price 😀

We stayed for one night between Christmas and new year. The bar was lively with lots of locals having fun. Once we were upstairs we couldn’t hear any of that. The room was clean and comfortable. The lovely guy from Boston who checked us in and served our breakfast was very attentive and looked after us very well.

This was an unexpected stop for us. The hotel was basic. Cleanliness and comfort were average. The room was small. We did not eat there. Parking was easy. If I were to return to Abergavenny, I would try a different hotel.

Thank you for a lovely stay. All your staff were fantastic and the restaurant was amazing. Came for a Birthday few day’s. Breakfast was great and the evening restaurant was fantastic and full of great flavours.

I booked direct with the hotel for 4 nights in which payment for the full amount was taken at check in, my 1st room the bed was atrocious, I changed rooms which looked slightly better until I was bitten several times in the night, I checked out next day unfortunately the staff couldn’t do anything and after numerous emails and phone calls a refund for the outstanding 3 nights I paid for but didn’t stay due to uncleanliness hasn’t be refunded. All I get is the manager is not here he’s on holiday perhaps try again tomorrow, just be aware I’m seriously out of pocket as I had to book accommodation elsewhere as working in the area. In my opinion it’s a flea pit and should be avoided

Spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable bed and lovely room (6). Only stayed for one night after concert visit but very impressed. Excellent breakfast choice too. Eggs benefict divine and perfectly cooked. The two young ladies on duty were a delight. Would totally recommend
