던라번 호텔(Dunraven Hotel)

Approximately 40 of us went for our group Chris**as lunch. The tables were set out in a large square, which was great as we could all see each other and chat. One extra decided to join us and the staff went the extra mile to accommodate the extra seat. I had Camembert, Salmon Fillet (biggest one I’ve ever seen), Trifle (homemade), coffee and mince pies all for £20 which included a tip. The cheese board was big, as were all the portion sizes. Everyone seemed to enjoy everything they had and I would definitely go back. Bottle red wine £11. Staff were fab, friendly and accommodating. Thank you.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms are very clean spacious and comfortable. Lovely beer garden at rear that will be perfect for a cool drink in the summer. Amazing food, Friendly staff and Nick and Ruth great hosts. Will return again x

We went on this hotel's website and booked 2 rooms here to come and see family in south wales, our rooms were booked almost 2 months ago and i called them 4 days before our arrival to confirm everything was still ok after reading reviews on here and to my shock i was told that we were double booked and they had no rooms due to a wedding being on at the hotel that weekend 1st april. Needless to say we could not find another hotel at short notice so our weekend away was ruined by this hotel. We will defo steer clear in future , shame on you dunraven

This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel that cannot do enough for you. It's very comfortable and newly refurbished and will accommodate special diets with notice. there is also fabulous use of a shared kitchen too so that is perfect for someone with a special diet or on a hiking holiday, etc. Loved that! Has all mod cons - large tv and sky, modern and clean bathroom and shower, nice decor and centrally heated, blinds and curtains to block out the early morning sun. I found it peaceful too, which was a Godsend. The only downside for me was that I didn't find the bed comfy and there was no hairdryer but I am sure they would have found me one if I had asked. Otherwise I would/will definitely return. I have rarely felt so comfortable so quickly in ANY hotel before. Very relaxed. Cannot recommend enough.

Some of the friendliest and efficient staff I have encountered - and I travel a lot for work. Many young people working in hospitality could learn a thing or two from the staff here. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom had clearly recently been refitted. The evening meal was good food after a long drive and breakfast was really lovely too.

We have just came back from Treherbert and Stayed at the Dun, Nick, Ruth and the staff were all amazing it was good seeing them after 4 years and also seeing Sasha their dog, rooms have been revampt since last being there.thee food also was amazing, won't stay anywhere else except the dun while down in Wales

Lovely little family run hotel. The bedroom was spacious and very clean with a lovely bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nick, the owner, cooked a fantastic full English breakfast. We didn't spend much time in the bar but it seemed very lively and welcoming when we arrived to check in. This is not a four-star hotel (and it doesn't claim to be), but it is clean, comfortable and welcoming with great views over the valley and a fabulous breakfast.

I've just spent 2 nights at the Dunraven whilst down from Essex doing the Cardiff Half marathon. Lovely friendly staff , nice room, comply bed and very quiet. Would definitely come back and recommend.
