The stay was decent overall. The hotel is well located, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable.
However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Cleanliness could be better, there was a noticeable smell of smoke in the room, and the shower drain was partially blocked.
One particularly unpleasant experience stood out. While checking out and waiting for my taxi, I asked reception if they could charge my phone. I was unexpectedly asked (twice) how much money I could give. When I expressed surprise, I was told it was a joke, but it didn’t come across that way.
This was quite shocking, especially for a five-star resort, where such a basic request should not come with any expectation of payment. Definitely an area where the hotel should do better.
