Flower bashing with Becca Clarke, a local natural dye artist who specialises in craft for wellbeing. The event will be held at Green Squirrels sustainable community gardens, a hub for organic eco-conscious making.
You'll design and make your own printed textiles accessories using only home-grown flowers and leaves. Use stencils for intricate motifs, or go wild with your own designs. 
Light refreshments will be provided.
Natural dyeing is an eco-friendly practice that will take you a step further in your sustainable living or craft journey. There are many different methods of extracting pigment from plants which I briefly run through in every workshop. I will also demonstrate post-dyeing colour modification techniques for even more colour ranges and bold pattern making. You'll leave with a knowledge of how to utilise plants for colour, and confidence in undertaking your own dyeing at home. You can use natural pigments to dye your own textiles instead of purchasing synthetically dyed, which are harmful to your skin and the environment. Natural dyeing can also be used to upcycle old natural fibre textiles!
